#SuperScoopers - Bombardier - CL 415's have arrived from Quebec. Fire officials have important WARNINGS!
As autumn approaches and the temperatures cool the threat of fire danger remains high. Fire officials will host the media at a press event on August 12, 2016 to announce the annual arrival of a pair of Bombardier - CL-415 - Super Scoopers.
The Super Scoopers are leased from Quebec to help fight the large fires that are commonly scene in the fall months when the Santa Ana winds become a threat. With the five-year drought and the dry terrain, the threat this year is especially high.
Please prepare before the next fire hits! Pick up a copy of the READY! SET! GO! guide at any LA County Fire Station. Learn what you need to do ahead of the fire to prepare your family and your home.
Be on high alert especially during Red Flag Weather conditions and High Wind/Santa Ana wind events.
Officials remind residents when DRONES are flown near a wildland fire, firefighting aircraft are required to land, putting lives and property at risk! Please avoid the use of DRONES in and around a wildland fire incident.
