P.O.P. Unit Serves Narcotic Search Warrant
On Thursday, August 11th 2016, members of the Anderson Police Departments Problem Oriented Policing Unit (P.O.P.), served a narcotic search warrant on 28 year old, Anderson resident, Tara Ashley OLSON. The search warrant was served as investigators concluded an investigation into OLSON’s unlawful distribution of heroin and methamphetamine.
The search warrant was served at OLSON’s residence in the 3200 block of Silver Street, in the incorporated City of Anderson, Shasta County, California. Members of the P.O.P. unit served the warrant at about 10:00 P.M. A search of the residence was conducted and quantities of methamphetamine and heroin were located & already pre-packaged for sales.
Scales, packaging material and other items were also seized. 31 year old, Travis John BYRD who was on active Parole was also located inside the residence along with 25 year old, Taniesha Renae COLEMAN. COLEMAN was on active probation in Shasta County for drug related offenses that occurred about a year ago when members of the P.O.P. team arrested her following the service of a search warrant at her home in Anderson.
Tara OLSON was booked into the Shasta County Jail on suspicion of possessing narcotics and other controlled substances for the purpose of sales and distribution. OLSON was also booked on suspicion of maintaining a house where drugs are used and/or sold. Travis BYRD was booked into the Shasta County Jail for outstanding felony arrest warrants. Additional felony charges will be filed against OLSON, BYRD and COLEMAN with the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office.
