The City of Adak Water System will be shut down as follows:
- August 12th - 8am-7pm to install meter in Camel Cove. Units 101-107 and 147-150 will be impacted.
- August 13 - 8am-7pm to install new water valve on Finger Bay road and perform downsizing caps in South Sandy Cove. All Sandy Cove units will be affected.
We will send reminder texts each day for the August 13th shut down so you have adequate time to prepare. You can prepare by filling drinking water containers, boiler preparations as well as filling bathtubs for use, just in case. We will endeavor to reactivate the system as soon as possible on both days. Please note with the age of the system other units may be affected.
