Update #LASD Homicide Bureau Investigate the Shooting Death of a Man, 1700blk E Av J-4, Lancaster

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred on Saturday, August 13, 2016, at 1:18 a.m. in the 1700 block East Avenue J-4, Lancaster.

Homicide detectives have learned Lancaster Station deputies were dispatched to the location regarding an “Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Shots Fired” call. When they arrived they found a male Black victim lying on a walkway unresponsive and suffering from gunshot wounds to the torso area.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

At this time, there are no further details of the shooting nor a description of the suspect(s).

The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are responding to the 1700 block of East Avenue J-4, Lancaster, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man. 

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

There is no further information at this time and the investigation is on-going.
