Putnamville—In conjunction with the 2016 national and state campaign, Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over, currently underway August 12 through September 5, 2016, troopers from the Putnamville Post will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint this coming weekend in Parke County.
Drivers are reminded to have their driver’s license and registration ready and it should only take two or three minutes to pass through the checkpoint.
On Saturday evening August 13, troopers from the Putnamville Post conducted a saturation patrol looking for dangerous and impaired driving. Troopers issued 23 traffic citations, 43 traffic warnings, investigated 2 vehicle crashes, made 2 criminal arrests and incarcerated 4 impaired drivers.
Remember, driving under the influence is a choice. Please make the right choice and driver sober or seek a designated driver.
