Schools open Wednesday - A reminder to drive safe, stop at all crosswalks, and be aware of pedestrians. 
Park Side Elementary School, Brook Haven Middle School, Analy High School, and Laguna High School all have their first day of school this Wednesday, August 17th.
Please give yourself a little extra time if traveling to these schools, or around these schools, as vehicle and pedestrian traffic should be higher. Be extra aware around crosswalks as student may be focusing more on their first day of school, then traffic around them.
Parents, if you child is walking to school, please remind them of safe practices for using crosswalks. Even if your child is right, that fact does not stop a car with an inattentive driver.
Officers will be in the area enforcing traffic laws to keep everyone safe. Please plan ahead and contact us if you have any questions.
