Construction Accident Causes Service Outage to 500 Lacled Gas Customers in St. Peters
St. Peters City officials have learned that due to a construction accident this afternoon, approximately 500 Laclede Gas customers living in the area of the St. Peters subdivisions of Braewood and Ellington Place have had their gas service shut down so that repairs can be made to the gas line. Gas company officials have told us there is no need for evacuation or further actions at this time.
Company officials have told us they estimate the repairs will be completed and service will be restored by 5 p.m. today. When the repairs are finished and it is safe to restore the service to these residents, Laclede Gas officials will go door to door to turn service back on to their individual customers.
If no one is home at the residence at that time, Laclede Gas officials will again go door to door at about 7 p.m. to restore service to those addresses. If no one is available at those addresses during this second attempt to restore service, Laclede Gas will leave door hangers with the number to call to set up an appointment to have a technician return to the address to restore service.
For more information about this situation, please contact Laclede Gas at 314-342-0800.
