On August 17, 2016 an incident that involved a weapon was reported to School Resource Officer Titus Gilbert upon Giles County School property. A male identified as Orlando Eugene Ray Jr. age eighteen of Pulaski was in the car rider line and was reportedly waiving a weapon on the exterior of his vehicle. School Resource Officer Titus Gilbert located the vehicle behind Giles County School and conducted a traffic stop. During the investigation, School Resource Officer Gilbert located a loaded .45 caliber weapon on Mr. Orlando Eugene Ray Jr. Another subject was located in the passenger seat and was identified as a fifteen year old juvenile of Pulaski. The juvenile was also in possession of loaded .380 caliber weapon.
The juvenile was transported to Juvenile Youth Services and Mr. Orlando Eugene Ray Jr. was transported to Giles County Sheriff’s Department and both subjects are charged with Possession of Firearm on School Property. The investigation continues with additional charges pending.
