Press Release: NPD #1600-3316 Sexual Misconduct Investigation (6200 blk. of Burlington Ave., Indianapolis) 8.17.16
On August 17, 2016, investigators from the Noblesville Police Department submitted case information to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office regarding the investigation of a former teacher of the Noblesville School Corporation. The Noblesville School Corporation initially notified investigators of the alleged incident on August 2, 2016 when the information was brought to their attention. Since that time, school officials have been cooperating fully with investigators from the Noblesville Police Department.
The focus of the investigation has been centered on an alleged incident that occurred in the 6200 block of Burlington Ave. (Indianapolis) in mid-2012.
As a result of the investigation, formal charges have been filed against Nicholas Eric McKinney, 35, of Noblesville, IN for the following:
Charge(s)*: Criminal Deviate Conduct (I.C. 35-42—4-2(a)(2) Class B Felony (1 count) Child Seduction (I.C. 35-42-4-7(k)(1)(2)(A)(ii) Class D Felony (2 counts)
McKinney was taken into custody on August 17, 2016 at approximately 7:12 p.m. by Noblesville police. He was initially transported to the Hamilton County Jail but will be transferred to the Marion County Jail at a time yet be determined.
