Currently there is a tree on fire on the cliffs above Donner Lake near China Wall confined to the Granite area 
We have experienced numerous downstrikes from the passing thunder showers in our area. All resources are out checking reports of smokes in the area. CALFIRE, US Forest Service and Truckee Fire have resources checking all reports. Currently there is a tree on fire in the Granite area near China wall which is confined to one tree with no threat to the wildland at this time.There is also a helicopter being used for any remote areas to help with any fires from the lightning strikes. Please keep your eyes open for any smoke coming up from the trees and report it to 911. With your help we can help keep our community safe.
