Modesto, CA - A Modesto man was arrested on several molestation charges after detectives learned he sexually abused a 14-year-old boy in his home for almost a year.
Detectives with the Special Victims Unit launched an investigation last week after receiving information that approximately 3 years ago, 50-year-old Carlos Loya molested a former karate student. The victim, who was 14-years-old at the time, frequented his instructor’s southwest Modesto home where the sexual abuse is believed to have taken place.
This morning Loya was booked into the Stanislaus County Jail for continuous sexual abuse of a minor, sodomy, child molestation and oral copulation.
