Crash on Interstate #65 South Bound in Clark County Causing Major Delays
Henryville-At approximately 4:10 am, a 2016 Kenworth semi, pulling a Hyundai semi trailer loaded with generators, was traveling south on Interstate #65 near the 21.5 mile marker in Clark County. The semi, being driven by, Adan Valle-Arias, 23, from Chicago, IL, left the west side of the roadway striking the guard rail causing the semi tractor and trailer to roll on its side. The driver of the semi tractor and trailer, stated he was ran off of the roadway by another semi. The driver, Adan Valle-Arias was transported to the Clark County Memorial Hospital with a minor injuries. Interstate #65 at the 21.5 Mile Marker South, has the right lane closed but the left lane is open. Interstate #65 at this location, will be shut down at 8:30 am to remove the semi tractor and trailer and debris. The Interstate is expected to be closed for approximately two to three hours.
All traffic will be re-routed off of Exit #29, (Scottsburg), and routed south on U. S. #31. Traffic delays are expected on U. S. #31 in Scottsburg due to construction on the roadway. All local traffic should use alternate routes to avoid U. S. #31.
