BACK TO SCHOOL TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT 
La Verne PD will be out in force for the first day of school this coming Monday.
With the start of the school year this coming Monday we want parents and students to be aware of certain changes in traffic control. We urge parents to obey the traffic laws. Some of the changes include the following:
New signs have been posted in the area of Ramona School, which should ease the dropping off and pick up of students.
A new light signal has been installed at Evergreen and D St. to the front of Bonita High School. Students will no longer be allowed to cross the street at the church and must use one of the two intersections with the light signals. LVPD will be out the first couple of days warning students not to jay walk. Students will be ticketed after this. It is against the law to jay walk and, for the students safety, it will be enforced.
The parking lot at Bonita High has been re-configured with a new driveway added at the light on Evergreen. Attached is a diagram of the lay out please read it.
