LAAPOA Statement on Appointment of New Chief of Airport Police
LOS ANGELES, CA - The following statement is from the Los Angeles Airport Peace Officers' Association (LAAPOA) on the appointment of Assistant Airport Police Chief David L. Maggard Jr. to the position of Chief of Airport Police:
"We would like to welcome Chief Maggard in his new position," said LAAPOA President Marshall McClain. "On behalf of the rank-and-file police officers and firefighters of the Los Angeles Airport Police Department assigned to protect and serve Los Angeles International Airport, LA/Ontario International and Van Nuys Airport we look forward to working with him on improving public safety and addressing the concerns of the officers who remain committed to the safety of the traveling public and surrounding communities."
