San Jose Resident Arrested for Robberies
On August 19th, 2016, Campbell Police Detectives, with assistance from Detectives from the San Jose Police Robbery Unit, took San Jose resident Reese Stanley, 30 years, into custody for two separate strong-armed robberies.
The incident in Campbell occurred on August 9th, 2016 at the Chevron gas station at 1589 S. Bascom Avenue. At approximately 11:18 am, a male ran behind the counter and pushed the cashier out of the way to gain access to an open register. After taking money, the male fled on foot. On July 25th, 2016, a similar robbery had occurred in San Jose at the Chevron gas station at 2252 Lincoln Avenue.
Detectives believed, based on similarities in how the crimes were committed and the description of the suspect, that the crimes were likely committed by the same person. Reese Stanley was soon identified as a possible suspect with the assistance of Parole Agents from the San Jose Regional Parole Office.
