Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, New Jersey State Police Kingwood Barracks Station Commander Lt. Roger Malone and Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski announced that on Monday, August 15, 2016, state troopers responded to the tow path located north of the Kingwood boat launch for a report of a missing person. Upon arrival, troopers located a male suffering from a laceration. EMS responded and the victim was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital in Bethlehem, PA, for treatment. The victim is expected to make a full recovery. A joint investigation by detectives from the State Police Kingwood Barracks and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office is ongoing. Detectives have determined at this time that the victim’s injuries were not the result of an altercation and there is no apparent indication there was a threat to the public.
