HIT AND RUN INJURY TRAFFIC INVESTIGATION
The Corona Police Department is currently seeking information from the public regarding a hit and run traffic collision.
On August 16, 2016, at approximately 10:04 p.m., officers responded to a hit and run traffic collision near the intersection of W. Sixth Street and Lincoln Avenue. According to a witness, a pedestrian was either lying on the ground or had fallen down in the eastbound #2 lane of Sixth Street east of Lincoln Avenue when a white truck or SUV traveling eastbound in the same lane struck the pedestrian causing major injuries.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and continued traveling eastbound on Sixth Street from the scene of the collision. The suspect vehicle, described a white truck or SUV, possibly sustained minor collision damage to the front bumper or hood, but at this time, it is not certain.
