Two suspects arrested for residential burglary
On Monday, August 22, 2016, at approximately 10:55 a.m., the South Pasadena Police Department was contacted by a resident reporting two suspicious males going door to door in their neighborhood. The resident followed the male subjects and lost view of them in a nearby alleyway. The resident advised a short time later he observed the same two subjects leaving the alleyway carrying numerous items they were not seen carrying before. The resident was able to give a vehicle description and direction of travel for the suspects and they were stopped by officers a short time later.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be on parole for burglary and to have an outstanding warrant for a parole violation. The passenger of the vehicle was found to be on parole for robbery. After detaining the subjects, officers found property in the vehicle that was linked to a resident in South Pasadena. Officers responded to the residence and confirmed that the subjects had committed a residential burglary. Officers were able to contact the resident and confirm the property found in the suspect’s vehicle was indeed stolen. The property was returned to the victim and the suspects were charged with residential burglary.
