900-blk Cherrystone
Officers responded to an interrupted residential burglary. The resident encountered two subjects in her hallway. It was discovered that entry had been made by smashing the rear slider. Surveillance video was captured and follow-up is being conducted, including evaluating similarities with several other residential burglaries in the Almaden area within the same time frame.

Arrest: 28 year old female, resident of San Jose
Charges: Stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, possession of controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia
Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle, which was determined to have been reported stolen to San Jose PD. Upon their arrival, a high-risk stop was conducted and the female was taken into custody without incident. A search yielded black tar heroin, powdered heroin, prescription narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and stolen credit cards. She was arrested and transported to Main Jail.

Officers responded to an interrupted residential burglary. The victim came home and encountered two subjects inside. Surveillance was obtained and follow-up is being conducted.

100-blk E. Main
Arrest: 48 year old male, resident of San Jose
Charges: Theft, under the influence of narcotics, possession of burglary tools
Officers responded to a business on a report of a stolen bicycle. Officers recognized the suspect from the given description and located him nearby. He was arrested and transported to Main Jail.
On 8/13, while monitoring cut-through traffic, Officers located the previously stolen bicycle. While waiting for the owner to respond to retrieve the bicycle, Officer’s recognized the same suspect they had previously arrested for this crime riding a different bicycle towards this bicycle. The suspect stated he was looking for his backpack. Moments later, Officers located an unsecured bicycle in a municipal parking lot and conducted surveillance. The SAME suspect, now on foot, began to approach the unsecured bicycle. Apparently he had also located his backpack, which was searched and yielded multiple burglary tools. He was arrested and transported back to Main Jail (second time in two days).

Highway 9/University
Arrest: 17 year old juvenile; 20 year old male, resident of San Jose; 17 year old juvenile; 15 year old juvenile
Charges: Stolen vehicle
Officers conducted a high-risk enforcement stop on an occupied stolen vehicle. 4 subjects were arrested. The juveniles were transported to Juvenile Hall and the adult was transported to Main Jail.
