Detectives Seeking Help to Identify Robbery Suspect
Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department’s Newton Area Robbery Unit detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying a robbery suspect captured on camera.
On August 20, 2016 around 6:20 p.m., the suspect entered a local business and pretended to buy a phone in the 5300 block of South Main Street in the city of Los Angeles. As the store clerk was filling out paperwork, the suspect walked behind the counter and pushed the clerk away from the cash register. The suspect then told the clerk to step away from the register or he would hurt her daughter who was present at the time. The suspect took money from the register and left the business.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, around 40 years old with bald/shaved hair, black facial hair and brown eyes. He stands about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds.
