Prisoner Johnny Rodgers, who was mistakenly released by Oakland County Jail officials, has been apprehended and is back in MDOC custody.
Rodgers was arrested without incident at 4:58 p.m. as members of the MDOC’s Absconder Recovery Unit, the U.S. Marshals Task Force and the Detroit Police Department surrounded him on the west side of Detroit.
He will be transported back to prison under MDOC supervision.
