Raccoon tested positive for the rabies virus in the Village of East Aurora
On August 23, 2016 East Aurora Police dispatched an ill raccoon in the village of East Aurora and after testing by Erie County Health Department, the raccoon was found to be infected by the rabies virus.
This is a reminder to use caution around wild animals, do not touch them and make sure your dogs and cats have updated vaccinations.
