Gracias. // This is an update to a ReadyKern message sent Saturday, August 27th, concerning the Havilah Fire in Kern County. // Effective 6 a.m. Monday, August 29th, the recommended evacuation affecting residences from Breckenridge Road north, up to and including the community of Havilah, both east and west of Caliente Bodfish Road, has been lifted. Once again, the recommended evacuation affecting residences from Breckenridge Road north, up to and including the community of Havilah, both east and west of Caliente Bodfish Road, has been lifted. At this time, NO evacuations are in effect for this area. // Returning residents are advised that although there is currently not active fire in the area that was evacuated, there is still a possibility that fire could rekindle due to windy conditions. Residents should always be aware of their surroundings and prepared to respond appropriately during emergencies. // If you have an emergency, call 911.
