Couple tries to dine and dash while sitting next to police officers, arrested 
On 8-30-16 at approximately 8:30 AM, a group of PSPD Detectives stopped in to eat at Elmer's Restaurant located at 1030 E Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs.
While they were there they noticed a couple walk away from the table directly next to them and noticed the couple was acting a little suspicious.
The detectives checked with the restaurant staff and found the couple had just dined and dashed in front of them.
The detectives immediately walked outside of the restaurant and witnesses pointed to the direction the couple had left.
The couple exited the restaurant and ran across the street, behind some local hotels and separated in an attempt to elude the detectives.
The detectives were able to catch up to the couple who were found at two different locations just across the street from Elmer's Restaurant and were taken into custody without incident.
Suspect #1 - Shawn Deans DOB 6/2/89 of Palm Springs was arrested for:
1. Felony Probation Violation
2. Defrauding and Innkeeper
3. Burglary
Suspect #2 - Shona Morrison DOB 9/19/1980 of Palm Springs was arrested for:
1. Misdemeanor Probation Violation
2. Defrauding and Innkeeper
3. Burglary
