GCSO Deputies arrest 32-yr old male after pursuit in western Greene County 
On Monday (08/29/16) at approximately 10:00 p.m., Greene County Sheriff's Deputies attempted to stop a silver Mercedes passenger car after receiving information regarding a suspect who was involved in a shooting incident over the weekend in Strafford. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop, leading Deputies through western Greene County. The pursuit ended after the driver lost control of the vehicle in the area of West Farm Road 132 and South Farm Road 63 where he was taken into custody without further incident.
The 32-year old Springfield resident was also arrested for several outstanding warrants and was wanted for questioning by the Strafford Police Department regarding their investigation. GCSO Deputies recovered cash, drugs and firearms from the vehicle including one stolen handgun.
The male suspect was transported to the Greene County Jail and additional charges may be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's for further review.
A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
