Cedar Fire In Kern County - UPDATE - Evacuations Lifted

Gracias. // This is an update to previous ReadyKern messages concerning the Cedar Fire in Kern County. // Effective 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 31st, the precautionary evacuations affecting residences in Kernville were lifted. The following areas in Kernville are NO LONGER under a precautionary evacuation: // On the west side of the Kern River, residences from Diablo Road north to the Kern-Tulare County line. // On the east side of the Kern River, residences from Camp Erwin Owen north to the Kern-Tulare County line, including the Riverkern community. // Once again, the precautionary evacuations affecting residences in these areas of Kernville have been lifted. With the earlier lifting of other recommended and precautionary evacuations, NO evacuations are in effect in Kern County at this time. // Please make sure your neighbors are alerted. Please always be aware of your surroundings and prepared to respond appropriately during emergencies. // If you have an emergency, call 911.
