<p>The Northfield Twp Police would like to remind our residents and travelers that school buses are starting up and students are heading back to school.</p>
<p>When a school bus slows and activates its’ yellow flashing signals, motorists should drive with caution, and be prepared to stop.</p>
<p>When a school bus is stopped with its red flashing signals, motorists must come to a complete stop 20 feet from the bus. </p>
<p>Passing a stopped school bus with it red lights activated is a civil infraction; violators will be ticketed, resulting in fines and could face community service hours at a school.</p>
<p>Please be alert drivers and keep our children safe.</p>
