GCSO Deputies working to identify additional suspect in strong arm robbery
On Thursday (09/01/16) morning, a passerby called 9-1-1 after witnessing two males, one carrying a teal purse, running in the area of West Farm Road 148 and South Stonehinge Drive with a female chasing after them. A Greene County Sheriff's Deputy who responded to the area located two men matching the description provided; when he attempted to contact them, they both fled into the Rutledge-Wilson Farm Park.
Additional Deputies quickly responded to the area where a perimeter was established. With the assistance of GCSO K9 Athos and handler Deputy Hatcher, one 18-year old male was located hiding in the sunflower patch; he was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies are still investigating the incident and attempting to identify the suspect at large. The suspect is described as a young white male (unknown age), approximately 5-ft 8-in and was last seen wearing a red t-shirt and blue jeans.
*A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.*
