Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said a Haywood City man is in custody on weapons charges.
Freddie Banks Sr. 43 of Haywood City has been charged with two counts of class C felony unlawful possession of a firearm.
Walter said his office began investigating a domestic violence case Tuesday involving Banks. During the investigation detectives discovered Banks had three felony convictions, and currently possessed a hand gun, and a rifle inside his residence.
A search warrant was obtained and subsequently served resulting recovery of both firearms and a stolen shotgun out of New Madrid County.
Banks remains in custody at the Scott County Jail, on a $3500.00.
