Deputies will be present at this weekend's Nocturnal Wonderland; event goers began arriving last night

LOCATION: San Manuel Amphitheater- 2575 Glen Helen Parkway, San Bernardino
Thursday, September 1, at 6;00 pm started the camping experience for the Nocturnal Wonderland Festival. The event is being held over a four-day period with the music festival occurring Friday through Sunday each night from about 4:00 pm until 2:00 am. Updated information will be released daily until the close of the event.
Day 1 involved the load in of campers for the event. 544 vehicles entered the park with approximately 2,176 campers.
Prior to entering the camping area, participants were screened for security purposes. The process for attendees included being searched, the examination of a valid identification, confirmation of tickets for the event, and a photograph. This process is designed to make the experience safer for the attendees. Uniformed law enforcement officers were at the event, along with K-9's.
No arrests were made during this process.
No attendees were transported to the hospital.
Additional law enforcement officers, paid by Insomniac, were assigned to patrol the Devore and Rosena Ranch area. Additional procedures are in place to minimize the amount of concert traffic driving through these neighborhoods.
Remote security cameras and Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR’s) are also deployed in the neighborhoods as an extra security measure.
