GCSO Deputies arrest 31-yr old female & locate stolen items including credit cards & checks 
On early Friday (09/02/16) morning, a Greene County Sheriff's Deputy attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation and contacted the 31-year old female driver as she exited the vehicle, parked at a residence in the 800 block of South Long Drive in southwestern Greene County. Upon further investigation, the female was arrested for an outstanding warrant and several items which had been reported stolen were located in the vehicle, including credit cards and checks.
As the female was being transported to the Greene County Jail, she attempted to assault the Deputy and tried to kick out the window of the patrol vehicle. The Deputy did not sustain any injuries during the assault. Charges will be submitted to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney's Office.
