<p>**Important Info for Residents**</p>
<p>A tropical storm warning remains in effect for our area and coastal New Jersey. Tropical Storm Hermine is expected to affect our area over the next few days. Strong winds are anticipated, with gusts up to 60 mph possible. Flooding in low-lying areas is expected, especially during high tide cycles. </p>
<p>**Citizens are encouraged to begin preparing their homes/properties. Secure any outdoor furniture, yard decor, and trash cans that could be blown away.</p>
<p>**Residents in low-lying areas may want to move their vehicles to higher grounds. Parking is available at the front of Surf City Firehouse lot on 7th Street side; vehicles may be parked East of the orange cones set up in their lot (do NOT block any emergency vehicles/bay doors/or first responders' vehicles). Parking is also available at the EJ school lot. Anyone parking in these areas must leave a cell phone number on the dash board in case the owner must be contacted. Note: you do not have to leave your name, just a number on a sheet of paper. Parking is at your own risk.</p>
<p>**Check on elderly family members and neighbors. Bring outdoor pets inside during the storm.</p>
