Hermine Storm

Governor Christie has declared a state of emergency because NJ will most likely experience high winds/significant rainfall/flooding from surges and tides...... However at this time the Borough does NOT have plans for evacuations, but if you live in Tuckerton Beach and are not comfortable with roads being flooded or loss of power we are suggesting you look to go somewhere else starting no later than Sunday morning.... Again this not an evacuation this is us giving advise so that our residents do not panic....

Parking - The Bay Avenue Ball field is now open for parking of boats/trailers/campers just please park along the outside of the fence and avoid parking on the actual field.... The Borough Hall is full and the Methodist Church still has some spots... DO NOT park on the side of the roads only park in the designated areas...

Today will probably be the last day to prepare for possible high winds/power outages/flooding... So like every other time... secure any loose debris, put debris to high ground, charge batteries for flashlights/phones and if you plan on hooking up a generator please do so correctly for your safety and the safety of the Atlantic City Electric Linemen...

If you have any questions please call 609-296-2701 or email me [email protected]..... Remember DO NOT PANIC use common sense when it comes to the storm, pay attention to the Borough for information and make sure to listen to our worrying.

There will be another update tomorrow before noon and thank you and have a great evening
