Road closure and paving: Independence Hwy 
Independence Hwy will be closed September 8 and 9 from 8:30 AM to approximately noon to pave from Highway 20 to Pettibone Drive. Truck traffic should detour via Spring Hill Drive to Independence or Hwy 20 to Granger to Hwy 99W. Passenger vehicles should use Pettibone and Granger, Metge, Oak Grove, and Palestine to Independence. Paving and shoulder work from Ryals to Camp Adair Road is anticipated for September 7-12. All work is weather permitting. Motorists can expect up to 20 minute delays. Thank you for your patience during this important transportation improvement.
