<p>Hunterdon County Prosecutor Anthony P. Kearns, III, Chief of Detectives John J. Kuczynski, and Readington Township Police Chief Sebastian Donaruma have announced the joint investigation by detectives from the Readington Township Police Department and the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office into a shooting that took place in Readington Township.</p>
<p>According to Prosecutor Kearns, “On July 22, 2016, Readington Township Police Department personnel responded to the report of a shooting which occurred in a field off Higginsville Road. The investigation revealed a woman was operating a tractor in a remote field on her property when she was struck by pellets fired from a suspected shotgun. The victim sustained injuries to the back of her head, neck and torso.”</p>
<p>The victim was transported to the Hunterdon Medical Center where she was treated and released. The investigation was aided by officers from the New Jersey Division of Fish and Game and the New Jersey State Police Aviation Bureau.</p>
<p>Prosecutor Kearns added, “Crimestoppers of Hunterdon County has offered a cash reward of $1000 for information that leads to the arrest or indictment of the person(s) responsible for this crime.”</p>
