Clark County-At approximately 1:25 pm, a 1999 Peterbuilt semi, pulling a semi trailer loaded with cattle, was traveling north on Interstate #65 near the 5.4 Mile Marker. While driving, the operator of the semi-tractor, Bryan A. Meyers, 31, from McCook, NE, stated a vehicle stopped in traffic, in front of him. While trying to stop and maneuver around the stopped traffic, the semi driver stated he hit the inside barrier wall, causing the semi-tractor and trailer to flip on it's side, blocking two lanes of north bound traffic.
The driver, Bryan A. Meyers, was not injured and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Interstate #65 North will have three lanes of traffic blocked for at least two more hours. One lane is open and being used by traffic however, all local traffic is encouraged to find an alternate route
It is unknown at this time how many of the cattle were killed in the crash. All of the cattle remained inside of the trailer during the crash.
