At approximately 6:00am this morning, Lomita Station received reports of a bus over an embankment near Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. The reports stated that a charter bus was making a left turn out of the driveway on to Palos Verdes Drive South when it veered further to the left and drove down an embankment, back on to Terrenea Resort property. Additional calls were received from the occupants of the bus stating that the driver appeared to be experiencing some sort of medical problem.

Deputies from Lomita Station and rescue personnel from Los Angeles County Fire Department arrived on scene to assess the situation. The driver was transported to a local area hospital and the passengers on the vehicle all appeared to be unharmed.

Traffic in the area is not expected to be negatively impacted, as the bus came to a rest upright on resort property.
