<p>Join the McHenry County Sheriff's Office and your friends at Senior Services on Wednesday, Sept. 14th at 10:00 am., for an educational program on current scams and fraudulent activity happening here in McHenry County. The guest presenter will be from the Illinois Attorney General's Office presenting on crimes related to Identity Theft and Fraud.</p>
<p>Also on Wednesday, residents will have the opportunity to drop off any paper that needs to be shredded between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Shredding documents with personal information is one important step in decreasing the chances that you will become a victim of an identity fraud. There is no limit to how much paper you can bring for shredding.</p>
<p>This event is for all McHenry County residents. Those who are caregivers to a senior or are seniors themselves are especially encouraged to participate because often seniors are the targeted victims.
