HMPD Detectives arrest man for break-in.

<p>On July 13, 2016, Hope Mills Police Officers responded to the 3500 block of Hill Street in reference to a break-in. Upon arrival, Officers met with the victim who told them that someone had broken into the shed located on his property and stole lawn equipment from inside. The suspect was not in the area when the Officers arrived on-scene and, the case was forwarded to the Detective Division for further investigation. During the course of their investigation, Detectives developed information that Edward Blackmon Hancock Jr., 23 of the 3400 block of Calkin Street, Hope Mills, was responsible for the break-in. On Monday, September 12, 2016, Hope Mills Police Detectives located Hancock and arrested him for the break-in. Hancock was transported to the Cumberland County Detention Center where he received a $25,000.00 bond for the following charges for the following offenses:</p>

<p>1 count of Felony Breaking and Entering</p>

<p>1 count of Felony Larceny after Breaking and Entering</p>

<p>1 count of Felony Possession of Stolen Goods</p>
