Marshall Co. Health Dept. has a limited number of 24 well water test kits available for flood victims.
<p>The Marshall County Health Department has received 24 well water test kits from the Indiana State Department of Health. The Test Kits are available for pick up at the Marshall County Health Department between 8:00am and 4:00pm. </p>
<p>There is no charge for the Test Kits or the test. However, in order for the test to be completed, the water sample must be received by the state laboratory within 30 hours of the sample being taken. </p>
<p>Water samples can be taken according to the instructions included in the kit.</p>
<p>We recommend that samples be taken as late as possible on Thursday and need to be returned to the Marshall County Health Dept. by 2:00pm on Thursday, 9/15/2016 in order for the sample to be sent to the State Laboratory for testing prior to the 30 hour deadline. </p>
<p>The State Laboratory is not open on the weekends. </p>
<p>Results from the test will not be avialable until next week. Residents who are concerned about water testing may want to consider contacting a private laboratory.</p>
