New Castle – An investigation that began back in July culminated in a search warrant being served this morning on a home at 912 Vine St. in New Castle. As a result of that search warrant a New Castle man was arrested for Possessing Child Pornography.

Brian A. Koby, age 34, was arrested and charged with 10 Counts of Possession of Child Pornography, Level 6 Felony. Koby was lodged in the Henry County Jail.  The investigation began back in July when Detective Sergeant Scott Jarvis received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, that an image possibly portraying child pornography had been downloaded to an IP address associated with Koby.

Further investigation led to the search warrant being issued for Koby’s residence at 912 Vine St. this morning.  Sergeant Scott Jarvis was assisted in his investigation by the Indiana State Police Cyber Crimes Unit, Pendleton District Detectives and Troopers, and the Henry County Prosecutor’s Office.  The investigation is ongoing, with further charges possible.
