The Campbell Police Department is currently investigating a strong-armed robbery that occurred in the afternoon of September 14th, 2016, in the parking lot of Safeway, 950 W. Hamilton Ave, Campbell.
Around 2:00PM, the male suspect approached the victim, who was seated in a vehicle, talking on their phone. The suspect reached in the car and forcibly took the victim's phone. The suspect initially fled on foot to a silver Mazda R8 that was parked nearby. The suspect drove out of the parking lot and was last seen fleeing westbound on W. Hamilton Ave. The victim was not physically injured during the robbery. The suspect is also believed to be involved in prior thefts from the Safeway store near where the robbery occurred.
