Safety Update from Mayor Wilda Diaz and Perth Amboy Police Department 
In our communication with the FBI Newark Division they have made the following statement for the City of Perth Amboy on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 regarding Ahmad Khan Rahami:
"The FBI Newark Division advised the City of Perth Amboy that the only known association that the subject had in Perth Amboy was with his employment at a local business. We have no reason to believe that there is any danger to the public. We have no intelligence at this time that there is any connection of the subject to Perth Amboy other than his employment at the local business."
