WHAT: Armed Robbery & Additional Information
WHERE: 578 California (Boba)

<p>On Monday night at about 11:00 PM, the San Luis Obispo Police Department received a 911 call reporting an armed robbery had just occurred inside Boba located at 578 California.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>An unknown suspect entered the store and approached an employee behind the front counter where the cash register is located. The suspect approached and displayed a handgun telling the store clerk to hand over all of the money in the register. The clerk gave the cash from the register to him and the suspect fled out the front door of the business.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The suspect fled on foot towards Taft. Employees watched the suspect walk northbound across Taft toward Kentucky. Employees lost sight of the suspect as he crossed the street.</p>

<p>The suspect was described as a white male, 6’2”, blue eyes, wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, a grey bandana covering his face and blue jeans.</p>

<p>The San Luis Obispo Police Department is investigating a series of recent and similar robberies that have not only taken place in our city, but in other areas around the county. Detectives are working closely with other agencies as we collaborate and share resources to catch the responsible suspect(s) for these crimes.</p>

<p>The following robberies have taken place in San Luis Obispo over the course of the last couple of months, with activity increasing in the month of September: </p>

<p>In each of these robberies the suspect brandished a firearm and demanded cash. Similarities include the suspect being described as a white male, possibly is his twenties. In all the robberies the suspect wore dark clothing and something to cover up his face to include to include either a silver-metallic type mask, a blue surgical mask or bandana leaving only the eyes exposed. The suspect has been described as having blue eyes and ranging anywhere from 5’10” to 6’ 2” tall.</p>

<p>The suspect may be working with an accomplice. A second suspect, wearing dark clothing and a mask, was witnessed at the San Luis and Bar-B-Que robbery who stood by the front door as a look-out. In most of the robberies the suspect was seen fleeing on foot, however, at the Trader Joe’s robbery, the suspect we seen leaving in an older (7-10-year-old) unknown model, gold sedan.</p>

<p>In the Panda Express robbery (photograph below) the suspect was wearing a black wrap or sweat band around the right wrist, possibly as an attempt to cover a tattoo or other identifiable feature. </p>

<p>Anyone with information about the robberies or suspect(s) are encouraged to call the police department.</p>

<p>Crime Stopper has offered a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect(s).</p>
