Rockville Man Arrested on Allegations Related to Child Pornography
Parke County—This morning, members of the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force served a search warrant on a residence at 318 East Ohio Street in Rockville. Officers were investigating allegations of possession and distribution of child pornography from a resident of the home.
Arrested: Robert L. Meschen, age 29, of the address
Charges: (5) Counts of Possession of Child Pornography
(5) Counts of Distribution of Child Pornography
Held in Parke County Jail
During a search of the home, investigators were able to determine that Meschen possessed and distributed over five-thousand (5000) images depicting child pornography. Various computer related items were seized and examined on scene utilizing the task force’s Mobile Forensics Vehicle.
Members of today’s task force included United States Postal Service Inspectors, Indiana State Police, and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Assisting at the scene were members of the Rockville Police Department.
One picture shows officers entering the front door of the residence and the other photo is Meschen (no shirt) detained and being escorted by a member of the task force.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
