Homicide Investigation 
On Thursday, September 22, 2016 at approximately 11 a.m. Corona Police Officers responded to the 99 Cent Only Store located at 725 S. Main Street in Corona reference an assault between a male and a female.
Upon arrival, officers located the injured adult female who appeared to be stabbed and beaten. The female was transported to Corona Regional Hospital (CRH) where she died as a result of her injuries.
Officers have detained a 54-year-old local transient man believed to be responsible for the homicide about two blocks east of the crime scene. The investigation is on-going and the identification of the suspect and victim will be released at a later time.
