<p>NC HWY 12 will be closed between Fonck Street and Byrd Street beginning&nbsp;tomorrow, September 27, 2016, at approximately&nbsp;7:45 am.&nbsp; The road is expected to reopen later in the afternoon.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Local traffic will be permitted in the affected area and a detour will be in place for all others.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>The roadway is being closed to install a 12 inch underground pipe that will run from the existing sump on the south side of Byrd Street at the Lindbergh Ave intersection.&nbsp; The pipe will run to the east side of Virginia Dare Trail and will allow the pumping of stormwater from the Byrd Street area without having to close the roadway.&nbsp;</p>
