<p>The Dos Palos Police Department has concluded its investigation into the incident that occurred on September 07th, 2016 at the Dos Palos High School.</p>

<p>A total of four (4) students were arrested during the investigation. &nbsp;The Dos Palos Police Department interviewed approximately 15 individuals who had knowledge of the incident.</p>

<p>Charges have been filed against those individuals and no additional arrest or charges of juveniles are anticipated.</p>

<p>The Dos Palos Police Department worked closesly with the School District in gaining information. &nbsp;&quot;We looked at the incident, we looked at possible causes, future education, and future prevention.&quot; &nbsp;We believe we have gained all information we will gain regarding this incident.</p>

<p>The Dos Palos Police Department investigation came from a source outside of the School District. &nbsp;Upon receipt of the information, an investigation began immediately.</p>

<p>&quot;We realize the level of discomfort associated with this investigation, however, the quick response to the information was necessary to protect the victim and prevent future victimization.&quot;</p>

<p>New investigations often began as a part of the initial investigation as it has in this case. &nbsp;&quot;We requested a separate agency look into the mandated reporting portion of this incident, and we are hopeful that portion of the investigation will be concluded soon.&quot;</p>

<p>As a community we must begin to realize that certain behaviors must be addressed.</p>

<p>Healing comes with time, but we will never heal if we choose to ignore the short falls and chalk up serious errors in judgement with a &quot; boys will be boys&quot; attitude.</p>

<p>The Dos Palos Police Department thanks the few students, and adults, who were brave enough to bring this incident forward, you are the true heros.</p>

<p>If furture victims or information is reported at a later date, we will re-open this investigation at that time.</p>
