South Main Street is now open. 
<p>South Main Street at the Parkton Road intersection is now open. The bridge on Legion Road will remain closed at least through the weekend. Due to the age of the Legion Road bridge, NCDOT is not able to re-open it until divers have inspected the underside of the bridge to ensure it has not suffered any structural damage. This cannot be done until waters and the current diminish to a level that is safe for the divers. NCDOT is expecting to be able to do the inspection at some point during the day Monday.</p>
