Please be advised of the following Community Events that will be taking place 10/8 – 10/10.
Road Closures for upcoming events in our area will include:
The East Islip Homecoming Parade will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Roads will be closed in and around the High School area including Carleton Avenue from Manhattan Blvd to Roslyn St.
The West Islip Homecoming Parade will take place on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 12:30 to 1:45 PM. Higbie Lane will be closed from Gerek Avenue to Montauk Hwy.
On Saturday, October 8, 2016, the Brentwood Fire Department will be holding an Open House from 12:00 PM to 5 PM. Fourth Street will be closed between First Avenue and Second Avenue.
On Monday, October 10, 2016, St Luke’s R.C. Church in Brentwood will hold a 5K race. Partial road closures from approximately 9 AM to 11 AM will include: Wicks Road from College Road to Crooked Hill Road, Crooked Hill Road from Wicks Road to College Road, and College Road from Wicks Road to Crooked Hill Road.
Motorists are advised to avoid these areas and to expect delays.
